Danville Police find 7-week-old baby from NC Amber Alert, take parents into custody

DANVILLE, Va. (WFXR) — A baby girl who was the subject of a North Carolina Amber Alert is safe and her parents are in custody after police in Danville tracked them down Thursday night.

According to the Danville Police Department, the Caswell County Sheriff’s Office issued an Amber Alert on Thursday, April 22 about a parental abduction of 7-week-old Jupiter Aria Caudle, who was in the custody of her parents, 42-year-old Jody Allan Caudle and 24-year-old Taylor Ann Crawford, at the time of the alert.

The vehicle they were operating was described as a Ford Edge with Virginia tags KN-2520.

At the time of the alert, the Danville Police Department says officers were working with the Caswell County Sheriff’s Office to locate the baby.

At approximately 7:18 p.m. on Thursday, police from Danville tracked down the parents in the 3000 block of West Main Street.

After a brief investigation, authorities say the child was found unharmed with the parents, both of whom were were taken into custody on unrelated charges.

After being cleared by rescue personnel, Jupiter was reportedly released to Caswell County Child Protective Services.
