One person faces charges in shooting in Pittsylvania County

PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Authorities say a woman is facing charges in connection with a shooting that happened in Pittsylvania County Thursday morning.

According to officials, deputies and investigators with the Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 8:35 a.m. on Thursday, June 10 from the 1800 block of Ringgold Road in the Ringgold community.

Authorities say they determined Peggy Brewer was involved in the incident and charged her with malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

According to the sheriff’s office, Brewer was charged and arrested after she was treated and released from a medical facility.

Both people involved in this incident were reportedly taken to a local medical facility by first responders, treated, and released.
