HALIFAX, Va. (WFXR) — Virginia State Police (VSP) has reported a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Route 360 and Terry’s Bridge Road that occurred on Tuesday, March 21.

According to State Police, just before 3:30 a.m., a 2005 Pontiac Grand Am was traveling south on Terry’s Bridge Road when it crossed over Route 360 into the path of a 1974 Ford F700 dump truck traveling eastbound. Not being able to avoid a collision, the Ford, overturned on the right side of Route 360 due to impact, while the Pontiac spun into the median.

The Halifax driver of the Pontiac, Deidra Galbraith, 54, was not wearing a seatbelt and was transported to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The Clover driver of the Ford, Alber Duffey, 73, was wearing a seatbelt and was transported for minor injuries. However, his Halifax passenger, Donald Browning, 63, was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene.

The crash is currently under investigation, and charges are still pending.
