DANVILLE, Va. (WFXR) – The River District Association in Danville has announced additions to the Downtown District App, Distrx.

The Arts and Sculpture Tour leads participants through the River District to view and learn about sculptures, murals, and other art projects in downtown Danville through walking, photos and recorded audio.

The tour also features the newly-installed Wanderlove: A Stitch in Time community yarnbombing project organized by the Danville Museum of Fine Art and History which has been installed along the Riverwalk.

Visitors and residents can also enjoy a Civil Rights Tour and a Downtown Revitalization Tour in the app.

All three tours are available in the Distrx app which can be downloaded in both the Google Play and the Apple stores.

The Distrx app was launched earlier this year and provides visitors and residents of the Danville area, a directory of important downtown information including businesses, parking, events and more.
