Matthew Bernard ordered, again, to receive treatment for incompetency

Southside Virginia News

PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — New court documents show Matthew Bernard has been ordered to receive treatment for incompetency.

Bernard is accused of killing his mother, sister, and nephew back in August 2019.

Earlier this week, WFXR News told you his preliminary hearing has been delayed again to September, two years after the killings.

This is at least the fourth time he was found incompetent to stand trial and was ordered to seek treatment to restore his competency.
