HENRY COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — A man is behind bars and is facing several drug charges after a search warrant in Martinsville on Oct. 22.
According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, on Sunday, local law enforcement executed a narcotics search warrant in the 1700 block of Stlutz Road. During the search, authorities allegedly discovered, prescription pills, numerous firearms, and over one pound of marijuana.
Deputies said they also found evidence of narcotics being shipped to and from the house.
As a result, 32-year-old Quinton Lamar Jones was taken into custody and charged with:
- §18.2-250 Possession of Schedule II controlled substance (oxycontin)
- §18.2-308.4 Possession of firearm while in possession of Schedule II substance
- §18.2-248.1 Possession of over one pound of marijuana with intent to distribute
Jones is being held at the Henry County Adult Detention Center without bond.
The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information about drug trafficking operations to call (276) 638-8751 or Crimestoppers at 63- CRIME (632-7463). The Crimestoppers Program offers rewards of up to $2,500 for information related to crime. The nature of the crime and the substance of the information determine the amount of reward paid.
