HENRY COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – A Henry County woman is celebrating a big win after purchasing a Virginia Lottery scratcher – all, while also buying a snack for her pet lizard.

Charlene Goad and her husband have a pet lizard named George – who has a taste for worms, so the couple from Bassett went to Fasmart at 5975 Fairystone Park Highway.

Unfortunately, the store was out of worms, but Ms. Goad said her husband decided to pick up some Jewel 7s scratchers.

As her husband drove them home, she scratched the tickets and discovered that one of the tickets was a $200,000 winner.

“I said, ‘It’s not real! I don’t believe it!”

Goad says she hopes to pay off the mortgage with the winnings.

George, though, didn’t seem very impressed, even though there may be an all-you-can-eat buffet of worms heading his way.
