HENRY COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Later in November, Henry County students will spend two days learning remotely after school officials modified the calendar for the semester.
According to Henry County Public Schools, Monday, Nov. 22 and Tuesday, Nov. 23 will be virtual instruction days for all students.
The district did not provide a reason for the calendar changes, but says that teachers will send more information home with students as these dates approach.
Henry County school officials also replied to a comment left on their Facebook announcement from Tuesday, Nov. 9, saying, “We understand that remote learning days are not ideal for all families. It is our hope to use them very sparingly and only when absolutely necessary.”
Even though students will not be in their classrooms on Nov. 22 and Nov. 23, meals will reportedly be available on those days.
