UPDATE 2:10 p.m.: After several hours, VDOT says crews have cleared the scene of Wednesday morning’s tractor-trailer crash that led to closures on U.S. 220 North in Henry County.

HENRY COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Motorists may need to find another route through Henry County following a Wednesday morning tractor-trailer crash partially blocking U.S. 220 North.

According to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), the northbound left shoulder and left lane are closed on Virginia Avenue/U.S. Route 220 near Murry Hill Lane/Route 669.

While VDOT has yet to provide an estimate of the current backups, officials say delays are expected.
