DANVILLE, Va. (WFXR) — As part of a pre-Thanksgiving mobile food pantry distribution event, Feeding Southwest Virginia — along with several city departments and organizations — plan to hand out hundreds of turkeys and food boxes in Danville Friday afternoon.

According to Piedmont Access to Health Services, Inc. (PATHS), the community food pantry will be set up at Dan River Church along Riverside Drive from 1 to 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 19.

The drive-thru distribution will give away 400 turkeys and non-perishable food on a first come, first serve basis.

There are no ID or income requirements for this event since all Virginia residents qualify. However, organizers will ask how many people are in your family to make sure you get enough food for Thanksgiving.
