According to the Danville Fire Department, the fire was reported just after 7 a.m. at 180 Twin Oaks Lane.

When crews arrived, they found smoke coming out of the home.

The 911 dispatch center said the occupants of the home evacuated the home prior to the Danville Fire Department personnel’s arrival.

Crews entered the home, found the fire in the attic and were able to put it out quickly which saved the home and much of the property inside.

The house sustained moderate fire damage in the attic as well as water and smoke damage throughout the rest of the home.
