Driver charged with reckless driving after crashing into home in Martinsville

MARTINSVILLE, Va. (WFXR) — A car crashed into a home Wednesday afternoon in Martinsville, causing significant damage.

According to police, the crash took place at 2:19 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 3 in the 700 block of Barrows Mill Road.

Nobody was home at the time of the crash and no injuries were reported.

The driver of the vehicle is being charged with reckless driving.

Martinsville’s Inspection Department says the home is considered unsafe at this time, pending further inspection.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
