Danville’s Institute for Advanced Learning and Research holds holiday tree raffle to benefit United Way

DANVILLE, Va. (WFXR) – The Institute for Advanced Learning and Research (IALR) will hold a holiday tree raffle to award one randomly selected drawing winner with a fully-decorated designer tree for the holidays with proceeds from the raffle benefiting the United Way.

A “Christmas Lodge” themed tree with a retail value of $1,400 will be available to win in one of two sizes, either nine-feet or 7.5-feet.

The tree was contributed and fully decorated by Commonwealth Home Health Care.

The tree’s décor includes wild birds, snowy pine and hand-picked ornaments with a color palette conducive to most any home.

Raffle tickets will be made available beginning on Nov. 23 until Dec. 16 for a price of $10 each and can be purchased online by clicking here.

Raffle tickets can also be purchased at Commonwealth Home Health Care at 479 Piney Forest Road as well at the United Way of Danville-Pittsylvania County at 308 Craghead Street #104 in Danville.

The drawing for the tree will be held in the IALR Atrium on Dec. 16 at 4 p.m.

The winner does not need to be present to win but will need to pick up the tree by 5 p.m. on Dec. 18.
