DANVILLE, Va. (WFXR) — The City of Danville says nearly 7,500 customers will lose power on Friday night as crews remove plastic debris from a transmission line.

Danville Utilities reports the power outage is scheduled for Feb. 17 at 11 p.m. The outage will impact residents in the Schoolfield area and parts of Southside including portions of West Main Street, Memorial Drive, and Piedmont Drive. The utility company expects power to be out for approximately 30 minutes.
