DANVILLE, Va. (WFXR) — Danville Transit System will start offering expanded same-day service hours for all reservation-based operations via online reservations.

Starting Monday, March 1, passengers can visit Danville Transit’s website to complete an online reservation form and obtain additional information to receive service the same day a trip is requested at certain times.

Same-day service will be provided between 8 a.m. and 12:30 a.m. Monday through Saturday.

Reservation-based operations include the Reserve A Ride service, Handivan operation, and the Senior Transportation program.

The primary goal of this expansion is to improve customer convenience and enhance service efficiency levels.

The one-way trip fare for same-day service for persons who are not disabled is $4. For those with disabilities, the cost is $2.
