Danville Public Schools’ elementary STEAM Night postponed due to weather forecast

Southside Virginia News

DANVILLE, Va. (WFXR) — On Tuesday night, Danville Public Schools will hold the first of two events for their third annual STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) Night.

Because of the strong chance of thunderstorms, lightning, and high wind gusts, school officials say STEAM Night Elementary is postponed from Monday, May 10 until Monday, May 17.

However, STEAM Night Secondary will still be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 11.

The annual family event is free, open to all students and their families, and will held outside between Bonner Middle School and Westwood Middle School, but masks are still required.
