DANVILLE, Va. (WFXR) — Police are asking for help from the Danville community to track down a car in connection with a Saturday crash near the city limits that left a motorcyclist fighting for their life.
The Danville Police Department says officers responded to a crash involving a motorcycle just before 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, April 2 on Franklin Turnpike at Orphanage Road.
According to the department, a 26-year-old Danville resident who was operating the motorcycle ended up receiving serious, life-threatening injuries in the crash.
Authorities tell WFXR News that witnesses described a small, black, four-door sedan with tinted windows that was reportedly involved in the crash in some way and left the scene before law enforcement arrived.
Police released the following two pictures that were captured from surveillance video showing a vehicle believed to be involved in the incident. The vehicle may have damage to the passenger side, but the extent of that damage is unknown.
