Danville Humane Society offering up to $1,000 for information after pit bull puppies abandoned by dumpster

DANVILLE, Va. (WFXR) — The Danville Area Humane Society is offering up to $1,000 in exchange for information that will lead to the arrest and conviction of whoever abandoned some puppies by a dumpster.

According to the humane society, a citizen found two pit bull puppies at the Whitmell School Road dumpster on Wednesday, Jan. 13.

The puppies were reportedly inside a wire cage with a bag of food, toys, and blankets.

If you have any information, you are asked to call the Danville Area Humane Society (434) 799-0843.

Meanwhile, if you are interested in taking one of these puppies home with you, the humane society says they will be available for adoption on Jan. 20.
