DANVILLE, Va. (WFXR) — A house in Danville is moderately damaged and the occupant is staying with family following a structure fire early Saturday morning.
According to the Danville Fire Department, crews responded to a structure fire in the 1200 block of Halifax Road shortly before 4:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 26.
When units arrived on scene, they found fire coming out of the house’s side and back windows, but there was nobody inside the home at the time, the department says.
Even though first responders knocked the fire down quickly without any injuries, fire officials say the house sustained moderate damage.
Meanwhile, the house’s occupant will reportedly be staying with family members.
The Fire Marshal’s office is investigating the cause of the fire.
