DANVILLE, Va. (WFXR) — The Danville Fire Administration is warning residents about a scam of which they were recently made aware.
Citizens are receiving phone calls from a person claiming to represent the Danville Firefighters’ Benefit Fund, seeking donations. The City of Danville Fire Department affirms that they do not make such calls nor do they have any affiliation with a vendor or contractor who does.
Danville fire department says no such fund exists, and they will never use phone solicitation for donations.
