DANVILLE, Va. (WFXR) — Summer has begun and the Danville Parks and Recreation Department has a lot to offer at the annual Children’s Festival at the Carrington Pavilion on June 17.
From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, families can take yoga classes, learn painting techniques, visit the sensory tent, get their caricatures drawn, and more!
“Children’s Festival is the best way for families to begin their summer of fun,” said Taylor Roberts, Danville Parks and Recreation’s Special Events Coordinator. “This free event is a great opportunity for the kids to get outside and enjoy themselves while engaging in fun and educational activities.”
Attendees will leave with great memories and possibly even a free plant! The festival is completely free, but concessions will be available for purchase.
Stick around for a high-energy BMX show by Chain Reaction Action Sports later in the day.
