PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Earlier in February, a water line belonging to the Town of Chatham burst which resulted in a Boil Water Notice for parts of the Pittsylvania County area.
The burst was caused by winter weather in the area on Feb. 18.
Since then, the Town of Chatham has fixed the problem and the Virginia Department of Health has allowed the Town and surrounding areas to again be able to safely consume water.
The Boil Water Notice was continued even after the water line was fixed as a safety precaution.
