HALIFAX, Va. (WFXR) — Are you ready to rock ’n’ roll!

The Blue Ridge Rock Festival organizers (BRRF) have announced that for a second consecutive year, it will be coming to the VIRginia International Raceway for its rock and metal music festival.

The festival is set to return on Thursday, September 7, 2023, and will stay until Sunday, September 10. BRRF organizers also announced that fans can expect future festivals at the race track, as they have entered into a multi-year agreement for VIR to serve as the host venue.

“Bringing a variety of offerings and events to VIR has always been a priority of ours,” said Connie Nyholm, co-owner and CEO of VIR. “The partnership with BRRF makes perfect sense – we’re two independent, Virginia-born-and-bred groups looking to provide outstanding entertainment for our fans.”

With the recent increase in event ticket prices, organizers say they took several steps to make sure the festival is accessible to their fans. Ticket and tent camping prices have been reduced from last year’s rates, and a four-month payment plan option is currently available for ticket buyers.

“Partnering with VIR for the foreseeable future allows all parties involved to create improved systems and invest in infrastructure, creating the best possible fan experience,” said a festival spokesperson.

Over 100 artists have been revealed for the festival, and a release for headliners and a full lineup will be announced soon. Organizers say sales have made Blue Ridge America’s Largest Rock and Camping Festival for 2023.
