HENRY COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Three days after a teenage girl was last seen in Henry County, authorities, authorities shared additional information about the circumstances of her disappearance as they continue to search for her.
The Henry County Sheriff’s Office says 14-year-old Elizabeth Claire Rigney was reported as a runaway juvenile on Sunday, April 4, by her mother, Tiffany Jamison.
Rigney is described as being 5’6″ tall, weighing 115 pounds, and having red hair and brown eyes.
According to authorities, Rigney was last seen leaving her home 453 Valley View Drive in Bassett. Despite being told not to leave home, the sheriff’s office says Rigney voluntarily got into a vehicle and left with her juvenile boyfriend.
Rigney has reportedly spoken with her mother on the phone since leaving the house, but she refuses to return home or reveal her location.
According to the sheriff’s office, there is no information to indicate that she is in danger at this time.
