Some of Keepers’ confession will not be heard at trial

Local News

Natalie Keepers will stay in jail for close to a year waiting for her new trial.

Keepers was in court in Montgomery County today.

Judge Turk ruled her trial will start February 5th 2018.

During pre-trial hearings, Keepers’ defense attorneys entered a motion to suppress her confession because they believed she was not read her Miranda rights properly during police interviews.

Today the judge ruled that parts of her confession would not be allowed as evidence at her trial.

Keepers is accused of being an accomplice in the murder of 13 year old Nicole Lovell last January.

David Eisenhauer is accused of murdering the girl and will start his trial in November.
