Slick roads lead to school delays in southwest Virginia on Tuesday

(WFXR) — As Tuesday morning’s wet winter weather leads to some slippery roads in southwest Virginia, several school districts have delayed operations for the day.

Here is a list of the schools that have announced delays as of 6:12 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 26:

Highland County

Highland County Public Schools has delayed operations by two hours on Tuesday.

Rockbridge County

Public schools in Rockbridge County are operating on a two-hour delay on Tuesday due to slick roads across the area.

In addition, the school district says the PSAT exam administration scheduled for Tuesday morning at Rockbridge County High School will be postponed and — if possible — rescheduled.
