Sec. of State Mike Pompeo announced as keynote speaker at Liberty University commencement

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — Secretary of State Michael R. Pompeo will be the keynote speaker at Liberty University’s class of 2020 commencement ceremony on May 9.

“We have been privileged to welcome many of our nation’s greatest leaders to Liberty’s stage, and we are looking forward to hearing from another as Secretary Pompeo inspires our graduates to make their own marks on the world as Champions for Christ,” said Liberty University President Jerry Falwell.

Pompeo was sworn in as Secretary of State in Aril 2018 and previously served as Director of the CIA from January 2017 to April 2019. Before joining the Trump Administration, Pompeo represented Kansas in the U.S. House of Representatives.
