Wreath-laying ceremony to be held after Roanoke’s Veterans Day parade

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – Roanoke will hold its Veterans Day parade on Nov. 6 at 11 a.m.

After that, the Colonel William Preston Chapter of the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) will conduct a commemorative wreath-laying ceremony at Freedom Plaza on Church Street between the Municipal and Commonwealth buildings in downtown Roanoke.

The ceremony is slated to begin at 1 p.m. and will pay homage to all military personnel who have served and are still serving in the U.S. military.

The ceremony is open to the public.
