Woman injured after second shooting in northwest Roanoke Tuesday night

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — About two hours after a man was found shot outside a northwest Roanoke home Tuesday night, police responded to a call about another shooting victim in the northwestern section of the city.

According to the Roanoke Police Department, word came in at approximately 10 p.m. on Tuesday, July 20 about a person with a gunshot wound in the 600 block of 11th Street NW.

The department says responding officers found a woman outside a business with what appeared to be a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The woman was then brought to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Even though there are limited details about what led up to the shooting, police say they did not locate any suspects at the scene and have not made any arrests at this time.

This news comes after police responded to a call about another shooting victim around 8 p.m. on Tuesday and discovered a man with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds outside a residence in the 3500 block of Dona Drive NW.
