Woman accused of recruiting 15-year-old girl for prostitution in Roanoke County

ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – According to federal authorities, a woman faces multiple charges in connection with a drug and prostitution ring reportedly run out of motels in the Roanoke Valley.

According to documents filed with the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia, Mickey E. Jimenez has been indicted for sex trafficking of a minor and sex trafficking conspiracy charges.

The activity reportedly took place at a motel in the 6500 block of Thirlane Road NW in Roanoke County.

According to court records, Jimenez recruited a then-15-year-old girl to have paid sex with someone identified in records only as “W.J.”

In January 2020, court documents say the 15-year-old girl reported a “non-consensual sexual encounter” with W.J. at the motel along Thirlane Road.

The girl, who had left her foster care home and was living at motels with friends, said she first agreed to an offer to have sex with W.J. for money, but later refused. At that point, she told investigators that W.J. pulled out a firearm from his clothing and set it on a table. The teenager said she was afraid W.J. would hurt her if she didn’t have sexual intercourse with him.

According to court records, W.J. admitted to having paid sex with the girl, but said he did not know she was under the age of 18. In addition, W.J. told investigators Jimenez negotiated for him to have sex with the girl for money.

Court documents also show a text message exchange that is believed to be between Jimenez and W.J. Federal investigators say Jimenez appears to be trying to establish a prostitution deal between an unnamed female and W.J.

Authorities describe W.J. as “drug dealer and pimp,” saying he was a mid-manager of a drug and sex trafficking ring who was encouraged to recruit drug-addicted women to live in motels off I-581 in Roanoke County.
