ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — The wings are prepped, the sauce is chosen and the wet naps are ready.
Cooks from across the area will compete to see who will take home the title of Best Wing. It is all part of the 12th annual Wing Fest event at Dr. Pepper Park.
“It’s going to be big this year, we have more vendors than we’ve ever had before, we have the triumphant return of the cornhole tournament which you do need to register for and that information is available on the Wing Fest Facebook event page,” said Waynette Anderson, President and Owner of Dr. Pepper Park.
This festival will also feature live music and a wing war eating competition. Wing Fest kicks off at noon on Saturday, Aug. 28. Tickets are $5 in advance or $7 at the gate. Kids 12 and under get in for free.
WFXR is a proud sponsor of this event.
