ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — The Berglund Center shared some bad news for rock music fans on Friday, announcing that September’s Whitesnake concert has been canceled.

The concert was originally scheduled to close out the Bud Light Vinyl Vault series on Sept. 9.

However, the Berglund Center says that Whitesnake canceled their concert at Elmwood Park for health reasons.

It is with profound disappointment and a heavy heart that I must announce that Whitesnake will no longer be able to join The Scorpions on their US and Canadian tour due to my continued treatment for a persistent upper respiratory infection that affects my ability to perform. This includes the cancellation of our own headlining shows as well.

While Whitesnake will no longer be on the tour, the Scorpions will be continuing. We Wish Our Good Friends, The Scorpions, Every Success!!!

We Wish You Well

David Cloverdale, lead singer of Whitesnake

The Berglund Center says anyone who purchased tickets to the concert will be automatically refunded.
