ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — A weekend full of events will also be creating some travel issues for drivers in Roanoke. Below is a list of parking or street restrictions.
Straight Street Youth Night
Organizers will have Luck Avenue between 3rd and 4th streets closed on Friday, April 15, and Saturday, April 16 from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Down by Downtown
Down by Downtown Music Festival happening at Elmwood Park. There will be performances across 11 venues through the weekend. People can expect parking or restrictions at Elmwood Park on Friday, April 15, and Saturday, April 16 from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Blue Ridge Marathon
Runners will hit the pavement for the Blue Ridge Marathon — also known as “America’s Toughest Road Marathon”. Organizers say 750 runners will participate in the 26.2-mile marathon from Elmwood Park in Roanoke at 7:35 a.m.

The Slow 5K will have road restrictions on Sunday, April 17 from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Wiley Drive between Franklin Road and Crystal Spring Avenue. There will also be restrictions along the Roanoke River Greenway.
