Weekend events in Roanoke to result in several street closures

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – Coming up this weekend, there will be several events taking place in and around downtown Roanoke that will affect traffic.

The following roads will be closed:

  • Franklin Road, between Williamson Road and Jefferson Street
    • Closed Friday, June 18 from 5 to 10 p.m.
    • EVENT: First and Third Fridays on Franklin
  • Centre Avenue, between 18th Street NW and 19th Street NW
    • Closed Saturday, June 19 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
    • EVENT: Founders Day
  • Market Street, between Campbell Avenue and Church Avenue
    • Closed Saturday, June 19 at 9 p.m. into early Sunday, June 20 at 2 a.m.
    • EVENT: Silent Party
  • Loudon Avenue between Gainsboro Road and Henry Street
  • Centre Avenue between North Jefferson Street and Shenandoah Avenue
  • Henry Street between Wells Avenue and Centre Avenue
    • Closed Saturday, June 19 from noon to 6 p.m.
    • EVENT: SCIC Juneteenth
