Roanoke County E-911 reports water main break in northern Roanoke County

UPDATE 1:50 p.m.: WFXR News went to the areas affected by the reported water main break and talked to residents and businesses that were open – all of whom said that they did have water.

Roanoke County E-911 tells WFXR News that they did not receive any additional calls about the water main break since we published our story.

They have not given us any indication of how many customers may still be without water.

We will continue to monitor this story and will pass on any additional information we receive.

ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – A water outage is affecting the northern part of Roanoke County on Sunday afternoon due to a water main break.

According to Roanoke County E-911, they are calling this a “major water main break” and is affecting the following areas:

  • Loch Haven
  • Northside
  • Green Ridge

They say additional locations may be included as they are still receiving calls.

They anticipate water to be off through the day and into the evening.
