NATURAL BRIDGE, Va. (WFXR) — Cinco de Mayo (May 5) celebrates Mexico’s victory over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War.

On Wednesday, May 5, the celebration of the day came from the arrival of the Virginia Safari Park’s newest residents: two white rhinoceros.

Sarah and Krampus were born in late 2020 to moms Samira and Kya.

The park says the two new additions are packed with personality and represent their commitment to rhino conservation.

Virginia Safari Park offers daily rhino encounters which help support the park’s ongoing rhinoceros conservation efforts.

Virginia Safari Park offers Rhino encounters for $50 per person Monday through Friday at 1 p.m. Each “encounter” is limited to 10 participants for each time slot. Get more details and purchase tickets by clicking here.
