Vehicle crashes into structure on Hollins Road, injures three people

UPDATE 5:45 p.m.: Crews are cleaning up the scene after a vehicle crashed into a residence on Hollins Road Wednesday afternoon, leaving three people injured.

Roanoke Fire-EMS says the road has reopened to traffic, but there is a lot of congestion. Drivers are asked to avoid the area.


ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – Roanoke Fire-EMS confirms that a vehicle has crashed into a structure on Hollins Road.

The incident took place at approximately 4:22 p.m. on Wednesday, May 12 at the intersection of Hollins Road and Norton Avenue NE.

Fire officials say three people have been taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

They say the 2600 block of Hollins Road is closed to traffic. They are asking everyone to avoid the area.

Police have not said what caused the crash.
