Crash cleared on I-81 south near Hollins

UPDATE 7:00 p.m. Traffic is again flowing as an earlier crash along I-81 south has been cleared in Roanoke County.

VDOT cameras indicate that there are no longer any backups around mile marker 146 of I-81, near Hollins.

UPDATE 6:10 p.m.: Backlogs are starting to lessen behind a crash on I-81 south in Roanoke County.

According to VDOT, traffic is said to be backed up about two miles.

The crash is located at mile marker 146 on the southbound side just south of Hollins.

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – A crash along I-81 south in Roanoke County is causing delays for drivers.

According to VDOT, the crash is located at mile marker 146 just south of the Hollins exit (Plantation Road).

The south left and right shoulders are closed and backups are listed at approximately three miles.

Drivers can expect significant delays if traveling in this area.
