UPDATE: US-220 North reopened after Roanoke wreck

UPDATE 7:52 a.m.: VDOT says crews have cleared the scene of Tuesday morning’s vehicle crash in Roanoke and reopened the right lane and right shoulder on U.S. Route 220 North.


ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Motorists might run into some delays along U.S. Route 220 North in Roanoke due to a vehicle crash about three miles south of I-581.

According to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), the northbound right lane and right shoulder are closed on U.S. Route 220 near the Tanglewood ramp.

VDOT has yet to release an estimate of the backups resulting from this crash.
