UPDATE: Roanoke PD updates details on Saturday morning shooting that injured teen

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Police say that the teenage shooting victim found in northwest Roanoke early Saturday morning was reportedly shot in southeast Roanoke.

According to the Roanoke Police Department, the shooting took place in the 100 block of Campbell Avenue SE at approximately 1:45 a.m. on Saturday, July 24.

However, police say they found the teenage boy outside of a home in the 200 block of Cherry Avenue NW with what appeared to be a serious gunshot wound.

The teen was taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for treatment. There is no word on his condition at this time.

Police say no other injuries were reported from the shooting and no arrests have been made as of this writing.
