FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – Virginia State Police say they are investigating a double fatal crash that occurred in Franklin County on Oct. 9.
According to state police, a Ford F-150 was traveling south on Route 220 at around 7:53 p.m. when the vehicle ran off the left side of the road and struck two pedestrians near Willow Creek Road.
The pedestrians, identified as Roanoke Natives Matthew Sink and Melinda Headrick, both died at the scene.
This crash remains under investigation and charges are pending.
