Tuesday night crash in Franklin County leaves one man dead, State Police say

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Authorities are investigating a crash that left a man dead in Franklin County Tuesday night.

Virginia State Police say the crash occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 20 on Truevine Road, less than a mile north of Snow Creek Road. 

According to police, a 2008 Nissan Quest was traveling along Truevine Road when it ran off the right side, struck an embankment, crossed back over the roadway, ran off the left side, and overturned. 

The vehicle’s driver, 33-year-old Marcus N. Pritchett of Glade Hill, died at the scene of the crash, officials say.

The investigation into this crash is reportedly still ongoing as of Friday, July 23.
