Traffic signals without power in downtown Vinton Wednesday morning

VINTON, Va. (WFXR) — Wednesday morning motorists are urged to drive with caution through downtown Vinton due to a power outage impacting traffic signals.

According to a Facebook post from the Town of Vinton on Wednesday, Sept. 22, the power is out for the traffic signals at the intersection of Pollard Street and Lee Avenue, as well as the intersection of Pollard Street and Washington Avenue.

In addition, town officials say that North Pollard Street is closed between Lee Avenue and Washington Avenue are closed to help alleviate traffic in the area.

Crews estimate the power will be restored for those traffic signals Wednesday afternoon.
