Traffic expected in Salem due to crossing closure

SALEM, Va. (WFXR) — Norfolk Southern Railroad is closing Mill Lane Crossing on Tuesday, May 30.

Motorists should expect delays as the transportation company works on repairs. Signs are currently in place notifying drivers of the closures on Mill Lane. A detour has been put in place rerouting traffic to Diuguids Lane Crossing.

The City of Salem is advising motorists in the area to seek alternate routes and asks that, if motorists must go in the direction of the closure, they follow the detours that are in place.
