ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Roanoke County motorists may want to seek an alternate route Thursday afternoon because of a tractor-trailer stuck on Windy Gap Mountain.
The Roanoke County E911 Center posted on Facebook shortly after 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, March 4 that a tractor-trailer was stuck in the curves along Route 116/Jae Valley Road on the mountain.
While the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has not reported any incidents along the road, the department’s online traffic map shows significantly slower traffic flow along Route 116.
