UPDATE: Tractor-trailer crash cleared, US-220 South reopened in Roanoke County

UPDATE 6:43 a.m.: According to VDOT, crews have cleared the scene of the tractor-trailer crash in Roanoke County that led to some lane closures on U.S. Route 220 South Tuesday morning.


ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — A tractor-trailer crash early Tuesday morning has led to some lane closures along U.S. Route 220 South in Roanoke County.

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) says the southbound right lane and right shoulder are closed on U.S. Route 220 near Back Creek Road and Route 676.

While VDOT has yet to announce the extent of the delays, motorists are asked to expect some backups.
