ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — A Roanoke woman was cited after a crash in northwest Roanoke left three people — including two minors — injured Sunday morning.

A representative for the Roanoke Police Department told WFXR News the crash involved pedestrians and took place at a business in the 5000 block of Rutgers Street NW around 11 a.m. on Sunday, April 18.

Police say a driver was trying to move their vehicle and struck two juveniles in the process. The driver’s vehicle also struck another car, resulting in a woman being injured, according to the department.

In addition, the crash reportedly caused damage to the business.

Officials say all three victims were treated for minor injuries on scene, but first responders still transported them to the hospital as a precaution.

The department identified the driver as 61-year-old Cheryl Jones of Roanoke, who was cited for failure to maintain control.
