ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — According to the American Institute of Stress, 33 percent of people experience extreme stress. In addition, nearly 75 percent of people say stress impacts their mental health.
WFXR’s Hazelmarie Anderson spoke with experts at The WellNest in Roanoke — such as The WellNest’s owner Valerie Angle, Zen My Brain owner Maurie Sutton, and JMC Healing and Wellness Academy owner Jen Cliff — who shared ways to de-stress and take care of yourself.
The WellNest is located at 16 Church Avenue SW in Roanoke and is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays through Saturdays.
The WellNest is also hosting free self-care classes from Friday, April 30 through Sunday, May 2 with dozens of local instructors ready to share their expertise. Register for these classes in advance by clicking here.
