Terror Manor promises to turn your fright-meter up to ‘Maximum Overdrive’ this year

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — If you love the thrill of a good scare, you’ll want to check out Terror Manor. And if you’re not a first-timer, Terror Manor promises a completely different experience with more technology in this year’s haunt.

There’s also a special guest this year. Pat Miller, who played Joey in the 1986 movie ‘Maximum Overdrive,’ was at the haunted venue on Friday, Oct. 8 and will be again on Saturday, Oct. 9 for pictures and autographs. Miller will also have in his possession the ‘Happy Toyz Truck’ from the movie.

The haunted house has 40 rooms, providing ample opportunities for jump scares and scary thrills.

“We changed up 13 rooms, completely different than what you saw last year, we added a lot more technology this year into the haunt. And then, we added a big feature in our outdoor venue too, to give more to the crowd, and more entertainment, versus than just standing in line so to speak,” said Scott Gibson, co-owner of Terror Manor.

Terror Manor will be open Thursday through Sunday through the first weekend of November.

Doors open at 7 p.m. each night and general admission is $20 per person.
