ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — The Southwest Virginia Wildlife Center is hosting its first annual ‘Birdies for Birdies’ Captain’s Choice Golf Tournament on June 15th.

Starting at 9:00 a.m. animal lovers from around the area will play golf at the Hidden Valley Country Club.

There will be contests for closest to the pin, longest drive, and straightest drive. If those are contests that’ll entice you, then these surely will: there will be a putting contest for a chance to win $10,000!

Golfers can create a team and play for $600, or register as a business team for $700. Teams must register by May 15th. Businesses can also sponsor a hole for $200.

The Southwest Virginia Wildlife Center aids animals that have been hurt or orphaned.
